@Kirino @lain I wonder how many artists have actually seen a notable decline in commissions, or if they're just coping because they never had commissions to begin with. From what I can tell, from an outside perspective, it looks like most artists have about the same amount of support as always.

A good idea for artists trying to become popular and get more commissions is to jump on trends as fast as possible.

Tetris Effect is a great example of a game that I never would have purchased if it weren't for piracy. I thought it looked cool but wasn't sure if I wanted to spend money on it. That's also why demos are very valuable.

That backfired pretty hard one time when there was a Sakura dress up game where if you tried to take off her underwear a screamer would pop up. Never played a dress up game again because they just gave me anxiety xD
