got 3 stars (perfect runs) on all of the cups in mario kart world, finally! my boy snowman carried me to victory on the four i had 2 stars in.

no idea if i'm going to be able to 3 star the knockout tours. it feels like the last track on all of them has all the CPUs go crazy. they are kind of nuts in this game in general, i think probably a little overtuned but they also do ridiculously stupid stuff from time to time. it greatly increases the luck factor when determining if you're going to actually win a race or not.

idk when i'll do an actual review of the game but it'll be soonish. i want to play more knockout tour, unlock mirror mode, and play a good amount of online first. basic gist though is that this game is certainly not worth $80, but i paid $50 for it and it's worth that. i think i still like mk8dx more, but that game is always going to be really hard to top as potentially my favorite game ever. i wasn't ever convinced that the game would be worth $80 from a content perspective, but from a hours per dollar perspective it certainly would be if you like mario kart.
