@jetzkrieg A great deal of our movement is so desperate to find /ourguy/ that they latch on to anyone who is anti-system, even if that person is explicitly against our ideals.
A great example of this is Ted Kaczynski. Was he capable of writing well thought out books on his opinions? Sure. But at the same time, he wrote many pages on the necessity extermination of race so that one tribe would not have an advantage over another, advocated for abandoning the advancement of our species goals because the way we developed over the past few centuries was sub par (I should do a thread on why this specifically is extra retarded), and stated multiple times he was explicitly anti-nationalistic, but guys on here (and even myself a year ago) tell you he was one of us.

Denuvo is now making its way over to the Switch, apparently.
Given how often Nintendo likes to squeeze every ounce of performance from the console in question for their games, I doubt they'll actually end up using Denuvo because it has a performance penalty. Even if done "correctly" there will still be a performance hit as Denuvo is still heavy.
The more likely case is that third parties use Denuvo on the Switch. Also, don't fear, if the games aren't cracked, there is a good chance they will be freed from Denuvo eventually because Denuvo requires an ongoing license per-game for a company to use. You won't get to play a game right when it comes out on emulator, but give it a year or two and it'll probably be fine.
Given how large and dedicated the Nintendo homebrew/emulation scene is, I wouldn't be surprised if there is a way to bypass this in the future anyway. It could be something as weird as drilling a hole through a chip on the motherboard (shoutout to the Xbox boys).
