@YuiHirasawa @Rasterman @ChristiJunior @beardalaxy It also does let you do some juicy sequence breaks, even designing one of the boss fights around it (Spoilers I guess):

@Rasterman @beardalaxy I'm sure he played Super Metroid - the 3-minute long trial version in Smash Bros. Brawl's Masterpieces mode.
@ChristiJunior @sweetcreme @beardalaxy Writing 101, except it's necessary because the writer is a dysgenic mutant somehow entrusted with writing the plot of a video game we want people to actually buy.

:soyjak_pussyhat: "But what is Samus did something le epic like..."

Raven Beak: "I am your father".

Samus: "Well..." *looks smugly at the camera* "...I always wanted to smash the patriarchy". :smug4:

Samus jumps at Raven Beak and a quick time event appears. If you press "A" during the time frame, she wins instantly. There's no final boss fight because that's an outdated and male-centric game mechanic.

My humor is just an endless well of deep fried memes, SpongeBob and vinesauce references.

The #BestVidyaGirlContest has ended, and Metroid's Samus Aran is our winner! Samus looked amazing throughout this entire tournament, and ended up defeating another formidable contestant, Fate's Tamamo, 57% - 43% after 387 votes. Interestingly, this result ends up making Touhou's Remilia Scarlet look like the 2nd strongest girl of the tournament, given how she actually managed to bring Samus all the way down to 54%. That result is probably a bit misleading (Samus definitely powered up for the final match, getting 222 votes and breaking Tamamo's old record of 200 votes against 2B), but Remilia still deserves the shoutout, especially considering just how badly she got screwed over by the bracket.

We'll see in the following days how Samus will be celebrated. Also, I'll be doing a recap of the whole tournament over the coming days/weeks, including writeups of every single match. It will be a fun trip down memory lane, and man, do a lot of these matches look very different with the benefit of hindsight. And after THAT, we'll talk about potentially retiring Samus from future tournaments, given just how unbeatable she looks.
