i'll have to adjust the camera reset based on which direction the player is facing, but for now i think i'm good to start experimenting with UI stuff
don't mind the vinesauce in the background lol forgot i had that on
but hey, i'm learning! right now i have all the camera buttons mapped to the numpad. i have them on the mouse as well, but there's some jitter so i think it is best to let it be an option instead of the required way to move the camera.
i'm gonna remake an old game jam entry i made waaaay back in 2013 in rpg architect, just to see if i can work with the engine well enough to do that.
i tried playing the game again and HOLY SHIT it is held together with duct tape and glue, and it's NOT GOOD. i can see now why i got 4th place lol this thing sucks in ways i don't even know how to fix. you'll randomly lose collision, get killed by things that shouldn't kill you, lanterns you light don't stay lit (which is bad because they consume resources), sprites glitch all over the place for apparently no reason.
i'm gonna' make it again, and i'm gonna' do it right this time!

Just because you cannot distinguish reality from fiction does not mean that I can't.
