I usually don't comment on sports. Sports should be above politics, always. But sports are perhaps the most politicized non-political event there is.
But I can't hold myself from commenting on this matter. Every Western publication and Ukraine stan are crying an unfair game. Read the fencing rules. If you refuse to shake hands before and after the bout, it's disqualification, at least in Europe. You're going to act aggressive and you're going to get punished for it. Rules are rules.
Your ages long victimhood abuse is so tiring. The rules in sports are not "rules-based order", they exist for a reason and are written in books. If you play sports, you must obey them. Too many sports have given into political games and it's very sad. One of the rare occasions when a sport chose to obey by the rules, all we see are Ukrainian tears about how unfair it is. Why should any sport bend the rules for you? You either play the game as a sportsperson or get the fuck out. People competing in sports are above politics. Look at the history of the Olympics - the conflicts were stopped for people to compete against each other in sports. Be fucking better than this. You are no exception to the rules.
