Wtf capture cards are so cheap now
There used to only be a few companies that made them and the least expensive option with HDMI pass through was still like $150. Granted, that was 10 years ago, but I didn't expect to see cards for only $30 that are capable of more.
That's great news because my old avermedia got fucked over by some windows update along the way, and avermedia never updated it since it was so old. So it just turned into a paperweight. I think there was a Linux driver someone had made but that was pretty buggy.
One I'm looking at now for super cheap is just plug n play. If I do get my hands on a switch 2 I wanna do a massive stream with it so a capture card would do nicely :)

apparently mario kart world has a 120fps mode. i wonder what that's going to be like? there is no footage of it unfortunately, just people talking about playing it at one of the demos. is it still 1080p or does it have some sort of dynamic resolution going? does it actually hit 120fps consistently or does it rely on VRR and act as more of an unlocked frame rate? i really wanna know.

it looks like you can change the name of every character and you can change all of their designs to their MLP versions, that's cool! i kept most of them default but i do like some of the originals a bit more.
