With all the ModRetro/Analogue 3D stuff being talked about, I can't help but think that all of these types of products are mainly meant for two kinds of people: Tech YouTubers, and normies. The former so they can make videos that are interesting on it, and the latter because they don't know any better and want things to be as simple as possible. If I want to play an N64 game as accurately as possible, I'm going to just use the N64 I bought for $50 at a retro game store with an Everdrive/Summer Cart on a CRT. If I want to play with an upscaled resolution and don't mind the possibility of some minor issues here and there, I'll emulate the game on my PC. These consoles serve absolutely no purpose to me and have always felt like overbuilt gimmicks to capitalize on nostalgia.
