@mono when that racial change got me financially interested

@FallenFadedLostItAll@freak.university yeah capitalism has been allowed to go too far in regards to power struggles/control and needs to have a focus on the ability for businesses, big or small, to have their success dependent on how well they serve the market. We also need to do something about shareholders tbh, they really prevent the companies they own from actually trying prioritize the needs of consumers as they have to peddle to the shareholder's demands instead. Gets even worse when you realize how far this goes with companies like Blackrock: youtube.com/watch?v=GAIcet1mQw

@FallenFadedLostItAll@freak.university "companies exploit the free market too much nowadays to the point of harming consumers. If we can solve that, thats a good first step to improving the economy"

"sounds like you're just complaining about capitalism being capitalism"

@FallenFadedLostItAll@freak.university also the 2nd video has a time stamp, my bad

@FallenFadedLostItAll@freak.university thats the thing, my alternative is essentially a society where in order to get products, you essentially have to crowdfund for at least all of your entertainment and medicine by paying for the production of those products, of which they can then be distributed freely, most likely for free. Sure, better pay under capitalism is cool, but it doesnt solve the underlying price gouging and consumer exploitation that most of these companies are guilty of. These 2 videos explain the whole system better than I can:youtube.com/watch?v=jIM6dN3ogb
