Hey, this instance has been pretty cool for my initial intro to mastodon. What other instances do yall like? even if they are big servers I don't care too much, just want an alt on mastodon since apparently this instance makes people look at you weird and plus the federated timeline kinda ass

Only reason I'm not outright agreeing is mainly due to minority communities like mine being pretty assholish to women, but yee especially in middle class+ households, the sexism is essentially balanced out. Thats the thing, femcels are praised and protected in society while incels keep getting more and more shit on, even if they aren't neccessarily doing anything. Yet when you point out the influence femcels have over society, most people talk about the "school shootings" incels do, as if most incels want to shoot up schools in the first place. The logic is essentially the new age variant of "video game addiction causes violence and thus let us enforce our puritan culture on thee". Sexism isn't gone, we've just come full circle and done it for both sides: for men, liking anything sexually attractive or critiquing the culture of female communities makes one a mysogynist, while women are essentially given the priveleges of men without any of the responsibilities in society, and then being rewarded for it and gaslit into the idea that they go through just as many hardships as men

@Aldo2 @applejack you could make the argument that its neither good or bad for their to be an attraction (although imo, its def not good). However, there's no ethical situation, regardless of who's in the wrong, where an adult can consensually have sex with a child.

In regards to lolicons, as established in the other thread with Beard, that main thing that seperates them from pedos is they themselves seperating what they are attracted to from realistic depictions of children, a lot of them just not being hard for that shit once its too realistic. Its a shame because like you said, a good amount of them are in denial/secretive due to social presssure that was in place to prevent any sexual attraction to minors to prevent pedos

@Aldo2 @miria @beardalaxy the thing about that though is that despite knowing how to do the act, they don't fully grasp the effect of the act, more or less if they will be fine with it. society already has a precedent for this shit where its not real consent if the person has been emotionally manipulated, thus why a lot of prenups get voided due to the woman claiming that they weren't emotionally stable when they signed. obv an extreme example but we know that the point of that, especially considering that that kind of law was made for a time when women legit had to rely on men 9/10 for income, was to prevent the manipulation of consent.

Again thats not even getting into the idea that the woman knows all the effects of sex, especially at ange substantially lower than 16 and ofc even more so 13. Thats the thing with the age of consent, its not just there as a "now thee is able to fuck" activate button, its a general guideline for people to be like "ok you're this old, you should know enough about sex by now".

@Aldo2 @miria @beardalaxy the difference is that in that instance it was 2 people around the same age being into each other and finding out shit among each other. To compare to the drinking example, if you and the person you fuck are both drunk, thats not really bad; at worst thats just a bruh moment. The issue with the idea "children can consent" is that you inevitably entertain the idea that Adults, with a more developed and more mature view on sex, can actually get a child to reasonably understand sex on the same level they do. I have nothing really against below 18s fucking each other, especially if they are past like 13 or whatnot, but when i say "kids can't consent" i mean "kids can't consent to adults because kids will have an impaired sense of what sex is"
