I don't think there's a western equivalent of lot of anime genres, especially shounen.
Yeah, you have to keep in mind the target audience. It can definitely be fun. I read FML, watched Death Note and One Punch Man and all were really fun.
I don't think that the original meme says that shounen is bad, just that people who watch them exclusively should broaden their horizon.

GiveSendGo information apparently sourced from a misconfigured S3 bucket is circulating on the internet.
For contributors this is just a scrapping of the names, dates, and amounts given and was already public information displayed on the site. The claim that it was more than that appears to be FUD.
Claims that the campaign organisers photos and scans of drivers licenses and other IDs have been posted are still confirmed. I've seen screenshots of the contributor data, but no IDs, so I can't confirm that exactly.
