Gajim 2.0.0 has been released 🎉

Gajim migrated its user interface toolkit to GTK 4, which brings performance improvements and sets the ground for great features to follow. ⏩

Additionally, this release brings improved image previews, better tools for fighting spam, and much more.

All of these changes were only possible by touching a lot of Gajim’s code base, and we appreciate all the feedback we got from you. ❤️

Can anybody who has used both PostmarketOS and PureOS on their Librem 5 state what, if any, advantages I would see moving from PureOS to PMOS ? I am familiar with both and have no serious dislikes of either. Just not sure it will be worth my weekend to do it.

Yeah trying to get away from SystemD can be a real crapshoot at times. I have Devuan on my laptop and usually Artix on my gaming desktop although I'm giving Alpine a serious look. If Devuan had newer mesa and kernels i'd just use it for both, maybe when the next version is released I can.

Anyone know if stuff like this happens with #bsd systems like FreeBSD, OpenBSD or NetBSD ?

I had a similar experience where moving a Linux drive between identical HP mini computer resulted in Linux not booting and I couldn't repair it.

It would boot if moved to a ThinkCentre, but just could not be seen in either HP mini, even though it was originally installed on one of them.

Bryan Lunduke had a great video about Devuan.

Devuan is great for freedom of choice. During install gives the user a choice between SysVinit, Runnit, and OpenRC. If you use the netinstaller option you also get a choice of desktop environments during install including XFCE, Cinnamon, Gnome, KDE, LXDE, LXQT and Mate. It can also easily be used with the libre kernel if one wanted to if you follow the instructions at FSFLA.

I use Abrowser, Librewolf and Mullvad depending on device and distro. I dislike Firefox but prefer the forks based off it compared to Chromium forks.

I've been spoiled by the FLX1 on FuriOS and the Volla X23 on Ubuntu Touch for battery life. I have a Librem 5 and a Pinephone that never made it to daily driver for me due to not being able to last 12 hours between charges. I have no opportunity at work to charge. Has to last till I get home.

You know our community help site, Ask LibreOffice? ask.libreoffice.org – Well, it's now on Mastodon too, thanks to the good people at Fosstodon 😊 The @AskLibreOffice account will highlight particularly useful answers, but please still ask your questions on the website, rather than asking the account directly 😉

You asked, we built it! See what Nextcloud Hub 10 is about! ✨

Not only we challenged the #BigTech once again, but delivered countless performance improvements you asked for!

Well you have to start somewhere I suppose. Unlike the Pinephone/Librem 5 I can actually see the 3a improving over time in that regard.

Gaming doesn't need 128GB of RAM it needs a great GPU and that is something an APU can't provide cpmpared to a high end discrete card which you can't add into this system.
