I finished a charming point and click game today called "The founders of [redacted]". It has a good hint system, witty humor, and decent puzzles. It isn't perfect but it is overall well done. It is available free of charge and DRM free on Itch although you can buy the soundtrack or give a tip to support the developer. It has a native Linux version and was made using the FOSS Love engine.

Obviously, the Weekly #MobileLinux Update is delayed. It will be out some time in the (late) evening this Monday (UTC+1).

BTW, foreshadowing: The next one will also be delayed to Monday, as putting something together on the evening of #FOSDEM Day 2 would not be a good idea anyway. After that, we should in all likelihood return to normal schedule despite returning from holiday on the 9th of February.

This article will explore the purpose and benefits of these features, common mistakes, and how to use them effectively using #ONLYOFFICE Spreadsheet Editor: onlyoffice.com/blog/2025/01/ho

I finished a serene first person adventure game today called "Paradise Marsh". It has a great atmosphere and a nice art style. It could have had a deeper story and better save system but the overall game play is solid and enjoyable. It can be found on Itch DRM free and it has a native Linux version.

Now that the 13.0.6 is in prod, time to showcase something I have been working on for a few days during our QA time of this release. (yes we have a QA team lol)

Bootman is a boot manager that can switch between multiple installed systems (currently FuriOS only since we support that officially and no port for other systems exist yet).

I have a GTK4 app in progress that can install FuriOS (and possibly other systems in the future), hopefully we can land this for release 13.0.7.

someone in the chat asked if the flx1 can run a KVM machine and my initial thought process was well, probably not out of the box since during the boot process EL2 is locked and even if kernel has KVM, it will never initialize correctly.

so today after finishing my daily tasks i decided to take a stab at our bootloader, preloader and trustzone's source code.

Lo and behold, turns out i did indeed cook.

Docker support will land in the next release too!

@fakeshell Absolutely nutty phone, was privileged enough to try this out for myself and I managed to get Manjaro arm to boot.
You won't be running steam on this yet but the potential is massive. I don't think a pocketable kvm capable device has even existed till now!

Initially the plan for bootman was to make it split a partition from LVM and reuse that for dual boot, but then @doggestman brought up sd card for installation storage which sounded good, so i decided to make it work. now, it can now boot from that too.

This will also allow for installation of other operating systems such as SailfishOS or Ubuntu Touch when they get ported over to the device, so its not limited to FuriOS only.

The Linux Libre kernel has been updated to version 6.13. A whole bunch more blobs had to be removed to keep it fully libre. This continues to be one of the best kernels to use if privacy and security are your top concerns as it keeps closed source blobs to a miniumum that do God knows what. Updated my NovaCustom NV41 earlier today with no issues.

The main website for the project is located here:

A good writeup of the release can be found here at 9-5 Linux:
