Back from the hellsite. Man, it's so tempting to just nuke my account there, it's too easy to get sucked in, I hate it.

Anyway, I thought Juan once replied to me about his stance on politics but it was only about a few technical things. This other screenshot of him is the gist of what I remembered though.

Also found a screenshot of Tim Sweeney with a better take on culture war politics. Although I hear UE is woke too.. out of his control perhaps.

Blender is also doing it right. No fucking politics, period. Pretty much everyone and everything I care about is handling the culture wars better than Godot.

This goes with what I said earlier, every gamedev community (outside of /agdg/ threads) is pozzed. You will be ostracized unless you fully subscribe to SJW ideology. It's why even in the indie scene, it's hard to find non-pozzed game developers. You even have to request an account (while providing links to other sites and profiles for manual approval) just to be on this instance.

Per various notices and filings reviewed by The Los Angeles Times, a total of 393 employees from across the Overwatch 2 and Diablo IV developer’s various offices were informed that, in the coming months, their roles had been deemed redundant and would soon be eliminated.

Said cuts will see the loss of 140 jobs from Activision Blizzard’s Irvine, CA headquarters, 110 jobs from their Santa Monica office, and 143 jobs from their Playa Vista location.

Notably, the exact duties of those cut employees run the gamut from “accountants, software engineers, the director of human resources for World of Warcraft video games, artists, the director of technology game designers, game producers, sound designers and a game director and vice president.”
