TIL that the official joinmastodon.org list of instances contains no free speech, libertarian, or right-leaning instances. Every political instance in the list (the category called "Activism") is fully left-leaning. I have no idea why this surprises me.

I'm not sure if you've been following the story closely, but the George Floyd story ended up that the dude was a ticking time bomb that died out of asphyxiation due to drug abuse. The Brenna Taylor thing was also a massive lie, turns out the girl was previously fired from her EMT job because she hid bodies to help criminal. She got shot because her criminal boyfriend thought it a good idea to shoot at the cops
The BLM thing instigated a shitload of riots that democrats cities did not act upon and it had democrat supports. People are not completely dumb, I'm sure many noticed the extremely one sided reporting on it like "firey but peaceful" and co. If anything, the BLM support is most likely the biggest thing that would sink the democrats IMO

The main problem with progtards regarding video games is that they never understood that video games are COMMERCIAL art, and not GALLERY art. Video games are made to be sold and appeal to a market first, the artistic elements are just a vehicle to accomplish that goal, they are not something to be exposed so a bunch of self absorbed solipsistic self important morons can "make a statement" and "feel good about themselves". Video games are escapism, not vehicles for ideological propaganda.

A lot of Japanese developers are getting fed up with Sony's censorship policies. Gal Gun remaster and Uppers are not on Sony's platforms for example. It wouldn't surprise me if Japan starts to finally embrace PC gaming in a couple of years because of all this.
