Most likely this because they're shit programmers.

This person has opened the pandora box.

Unity project is 600 Mb. C++ with (deprecated) Open GL is 70. Sure.

Now, how much time did that C++ project require, and how much time did that Unity project require?

Also 37 FPS on Unity... I haven't watched this video but I'm sure that's not entirely Unity's fault.

If people uses Unity is not because it's better or worse, but because it's more convenient than having to deal with unmanaged code, having to deal with graphic pipelines, shader languages, debugging complex code that can lead to many memory leaks, etc.

Doing it on Unity achieves similar results with 75% less effort, allowing you to focus on your game rather than your code. And that's the point. Yes, it's "bloat" blah blah, but it works and it really eases the process. From a company perspective (not a hobbyist), or a student who is learning, or someone who doesn't want to deal with very complex code, it's the perfect tool.

Also if you want to deal with C++ in your game, there is also Unreal Engine.

Become a C# programmer and be forced to use an IDE.

@Hyolobrika Agorism has it's place but it's not going to end the state alone.

There are limits to what the underground market can do compared to the white market and depriving the state of it's income is just going to make it clamp on things even harder.

Also, running an illegal business is difficult. You have to trust that your customers won't snitch on you (which they might if they are dissatisfied), and most people aren't tech literate enough to understand things like darknets and cryptocurrencies. And the people who do trade in these markets probably don't even know what agorism even is.

But I do believe that agorism has it's benefits like conditioning people for a stateless free-market society and providing products and services that the state wouldn't allow.

@shou@neckbeard.xyz @coolboymew I don't think that would fix things. I'm not into anime but I do know that the ROM hacking community (including the fan translation community) is slowly becoming pozzed with shit like "gender neutral" hacks for games like Zelda and changing text for the sake of "political correctness". It wouldn't surprise me it this starts happening to anime as well.

@orekix It seems like preventing any of these would also prevent me from being born. So none of these.

@Secftblgirl amazing how we’ve gone from “the election wasn’t rigged you just lost” to “well actually the forces of capital, labor, and media all had to come together to change laws and censor opposition and unite behind narratives because we had to save democracy from donald trump and even though we’re basically admitting to essentially all the accusations made against us instead of ‘rigging’ we’re going to call it ‘fortifying’ and somehow there’s a difference”

@coolboymew Supposedly, ZeniMax blocked anyone besides their own staff from posting condolences on Twitter. I guess it was to prevent people from posting anti-semetic comments. Especially given his BCCI trial.
