@newt Well, I'm not primarily a C++ programmer which can explain it, but when I do see C++ source repositories, it's always .cpp.
.CC just sounds weird as a file extension for C++ files.
@newt The only time I've ever seen someone use .cc for C++ files was Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards (N64 games have their source file names embedded in their ROMs).

Not only for the people, but factories had guys that traded stuff off the books to keep them working. South America also had lots of similar things: the unemployed queuing to buy dollars at "official rate" and selling the spots in Argentina, all kind of networks to buy dollars in Venezuela, similar things in Cuba.

@icedquinn The Haiku team says that they solely intend it to be for end-users (no plans for a server or embedded edition or anything like that). It's also entirely developed in house instead of being a bunch of programs developed by different teams that are duct-taped together. I don't think an end-user OS should be modular like Linux because it can create confusion when it comes to different distros, DEs, etc.
@lanodan Well, until normies ditch YouTube, things like youtube-dl and invidious will be necessary. Luckily, it seems like LBRY is taking off even in the mainstream.
@icedquinn I just want to one day be able to use Haiku as a daily driver. It's really comfy and unlike Linux, it actually has potential as a desktop OS.
@icedquinn I still can't find a computer where I can run Haiku natively. Not like I can use it as a daily driver anyway.
