Hey guys, did you know that the UN wanted to poison the food supply to control the population back in 1969? Really makes you think.

It's more morally justifiable to pirate isos/roms of seventh gen and older games than it is to waste money collecting them.

@MyriadTribulations Yeah. I don't mind the 4 directional movement, but at least make the sword slash instead of stab.

Can you copyright a database schema? Like not even triggers and scripting stuff, but like like the layout of rows and columns. I mean people write import/export tools without issue.

@ChristiJunior LTTP was too hand-holdy IMO. The entire map is visible right from the start. LA was probably the best compromise because unvisited areas are hidden on the map until you visit them and there was no map marker.

@xianc78 Yeah, it and Zelda 2 hold up pretty well, though ALttP and LA improved on them massively. That said, the NES Zelda games are very much still playable.

Seriously, if you haven't played Zelda 1, give it a try and try it without a guide/walkthrough. It's not that bad as people said it is. Honestly, the first Metroid and most 8-bit turn-based JRPGs have aged much worse than Zelda 1.

I'll take back what I said about Zelda 1 aging poorly. It takes some time getting used to, but it's still fun today. I don't know what people mean by the game being so cryptic. It's not cryptic at all. It's just that the secrets aren't as in your face like they are in later entries.

My only gripes are the difficulty spike in the later dungeons (Wizrobes and Dark Nuts) and the final dungeon requiring you to purchase keys (100 rupees each) if you don't know the correct path.
