re: what
@icedquinn @djsumdog @furgar The only Europeans the far-right seems to hate are Albanians, but that's probably because they are majority Muslim.
re: what
@icedquinn @djsumdog @furgar I always assumed you were Irish because you claimed to be a ginger.
what
@djsumdog @icedquinn @furgar I always saw myself as white for most of my life even though it's no secret that I have Asian (and some other stuff) mixed in me. Maybe, it's because I used to be somewhat white passing and hung out with mostly white people.
I now have a twtxt feed on my site!
https://xianc78.codeberg.page/twtxt.txt
If you don't know what twtxt is, it's an ultra-minimalist, decentralized, microblogging protocol. It's just a simple text file containing your profile and your most recent posts. It's basically like RSS but for microblogs. It's so simple, you can host your feed on a static website like mine, a cloud storage service like Dropbox, a P2P network like IPFS, or a Git repository.
You can follow users using a twtxt client, or if you want a more user friendly experience, you can use a yarn.social instance which hosts your feed on their servers and gives you a web-interface similar to Mastodon or Pleroma.
More info here:
https://twtxt.readthedocs.io/
Extensions to the protocol are here:
https://dev.twtxt.net/
I'm still going to be on here, but there is now another place where you can follow me.
@lanodan @bird @djsumdog @coyote @hakui I think they are trying to hide the existence of instances outside of the "approved" Mastodon instances. Journalists who got dogpilled by Poast and DRCs are now writing hitpieces on why they think fedi is worse than Twitter. It seems like Mastodon.eu doesn't want to make the same mistake.
Quite a shame because I'm probably the biggest climate denier on the fedi and having a confrontation with her would've been epic.
@TerminalAutism @PhenomX6 He had Acid set it up, but it was his idea iirc.
@TerminalAutism @PhenomX6 Yeah, unfortunately. But he stuck with his principles unlike Hotwheels, Jim, or anyone else. He was even the one to come up with 8chan.moe (the closest to the original 8chan, imo) after being fed up with the 8kun rebrand.
It's been a while since I've been on 8chan though. I do know that he planned on moving on from being a BO. So, I don't know if he's still a BO or not.
@Soy_Magnus @PhenomX6 @s8n @Burn
>I'd rather it didn't happen to me but public information is just that.
You do have a point. Once it's out there, you can't erase it. I still think it's a dick move though.
>I've seen him allow other peoples info to be spread by borzoi and others with no ramifications
Were they just real names or full doxes (home address, phone number, workplace, etc)? A real name is nothing unless there is other info attached to it. (There are plenty of people out there who share the same full name as you)
oh please no
Whether you are a large company, a political party, an international news agency, an NGO or a government institution, you should seriously consider running your own Mastodon server, or anything else that suits your business on the Fediverse.

@Soy_Magnus @PhenomX6 @s8n @Burn I don't care about his real info. I don't believe in doxing, canceling, or any of that stuff. If I find out someone's real name (which I have multiple times before), I keep it to myself. It's something that I don't want to be done to me, so I would never to it to anyone else, even to the people I despise.
And AFAIK, 4chan requires that all janitors keep it a secret, meaning you are not allowed to disclosed the fact that you are a janitor whether under a real name or an online handle.
Even though I've been here longer than Poast, I'm not too familiar with it's backstory. It was always some instance that popped up out of nowhere and gained a following from the dissident right types. The Wiki claims that he was a wannabe e-celeb on Twitter before starting his own instance, but I never used Twitter so I can't verify that. Poast seemed to got popular after Wyatt brought it up, so maybe there is a connection there.
@Soy_Magnus @PhenomX6 @Burn That's not Wikipedia. That's the Fediverse Wiki which we are already talking about.
