@LukeAlmighty
>Racing games don't need cutscenes.
Looks like someone couldn't beat F-Zero GX's story mode.
Microsoft be like:
There has been a suspicious activity. We locked your account.
Bruh, I am barely tolerating your shit when it comes as far as to copy-paste the key when activating windows. That account means NOTHING to me. Stop your self-ritcheous bullshit, and let me log in, so I can click one button, and forget you exist for anodher 20 months.
@LukeAlmighty I think pre-rendered is easier to do because in-engine cut-scenes require implementing a scripting language and creating the necessary states when a cutscene happens, whereas a pre-rendered cutscene is just a video file.
I cannot believe, that "modern games" still use pre-rendered cutscenes thinking I won't notice.
And I mean, in the same scene, with the same models etc.
I get pre-rendered, when it comes to a different environment. For example, space battles in Mass effect. But just STOP IT, when the scene is one, where all the models are already loaded in.
@lanodan I think Qoto's fork has BBCode. I would add that to our fork but not until matrix gets off of GitHub.
@galena Luckily it hasn't become mainstream and hopefully never will be. It will truly be a cold day in hell when people can get cancelled for denying multiplicity and otherkin.
@ryo I only picked this place because I originally was only going to post gamedev stuff but I became more known for my ancap conspiracy content. (I joined back in 2020 and everyone was talking about COVID and George Floyd)
