Fixed the segmentation fault and the death bug. Segmentation fault happened because there was an index that I forgot to set to 0. I'm used to C# where integers had the default value of 0 when declared as opposed to random values as it is in C++.

#fediblock there's this cool emulator to download called Neko Project 21w and it emulates this cool japanese computer called the PC-98.
https://simk98.github.io/np21w/
Just use the YM2608b wav file set and the PC9821.zip from MAME and you're all set. Download games here:

Tutorial, but if you've used other PC emulators you know the drill and can even install 9x in a HDD:

I've fixed the bug, but now the enemy is left on the death animation if it dies. As you can see, the enemy is knocked back based on the direction it is facing, when it should be based on the velocity of the projectile (result of copying and pasting code from player's knockback).

There is also a new problem in that I keep on getting segmentation faults. I don't know where they are coming from.

@rasterman @Ace66062 @ArdainianRight @ChristiJunior @NEETzsche @e @pyrabot Mother 2 had a gay character, Tony, who was Jeff's roommate. And if you know anything about Jeff, then you would know that Dr. Andonauts sent him to that boarding school and then neglected him, so he could work on his inventions and later traveled through time with Porky.

He left Jeff with some gay roommate. Let that sink in.

@rasterman @Ace66062 @ArdainianRight @ChristiJunior @NEETzsche @e @pyrabot Flint was originally supposed to take the role of her according to unused sprites in the GBA versions and clips from the cancelled N64 version.

The N64 version of the Magypsies were also didn't look like Drag Queens.

re: gamedev

@Binkle I've made it so that the bullet is deleted after the collision. I've also made it so that the enemy would be in a knocked back state on collision if they still have hp and the enemy can't take anymore damage while still in the knocked back state.

I honestly don't know what's wrong.

I tried to test out increasing the health of the enemy, but I'm stuck with this annoying bug where the enemy dies in one hit no matter how much health I give him. I even tried giving him 1000000 hp and the result is still the same.

#Fediblock

This is gonna be pointless, but here we go

"Shitposting protests" against it, because of the "in-fighting" is pointless. The whole thing was defective by design from the get go. Maybe you could have people being reasonable about it... 20 years ago, but not anymore. On whatever political spectrum you find yourself to be, it's time to admit there's crazies on all sides, and letting people run wild for them to be blindly believe on something like blocking is immensely stupid at this point

You know the facts already, most of the people using the hashtag are zealots who will paint an entire instance on a few users, regardless of what the instance rules says, regardless of what the admin says, because the vast majority of them did not even contact anyone whatsoever and won't respond to any messages after

Obviously, as it always does lately, this will lead to petty political infighting, shitty revenge and etc.

Just let your goddamn users use the already good enough built-in tools to mute users or whole instances. If you truly have to have a blocklist of hundreds of entries, for the love of god, please just function on a whitelist basis, and if the software/mastodon still doesn't support it, do it via the VPS's firewall

Well I'll be fucking damned

Someone actually made an NES hardware clone using the actual most important NES chips (CPU and PPU) that they acquired somehow

https://www.crowdsupply.com/tall-dog-electronics/tinynes#products

That's pretty much the closest thing to a new release of the thing using as much as the original hardware as possible

Here's a service announcement because Ivan-sama just fucking sucks at communicating new releases outside of his I2P-only IRC channel.
i2pd 2.45.0 is now available, and fixed quite a lot of problems in 2.44, and even became even more superior to the regular Jewva version of I2P than it already was.
For OpenBSD users, it's advised to get the ports package from here: https://gitler.moe/koishi/openbsd-ports
For everybody else: https://github.com/PurpleI2P/i2pd/releases/tag/2.45.0

Users of a DPKG-based or RPM-based distro can install from .deb or .rpm file.

Users of Arch-based, Install Gentoo-based, Slackware-based, Void, or any other distro's, install Boost and OpenSSL (if not done already), then wget the Tarball (Source code (tar.gz)), do tar zxfv 2.45.0.tar.gz, make, and make install.
Void and Arch-based distro users can also wait a few days or poke their distro maintainers to let them know that the new version is out now.

For FreeBSD users, you'll probably need to wait a bit longer, because FreeBSD's make command doesn't understand if/else commands in the Makefile for some stupid reason, and gmake doesn't support the "install" command, making it uninstallable on FreeBSD for the time being.
