@casey-magazine I've heard that Lemmy now has the option to disable their obnoxious "slur filter". Moon of shitposter.club was considering hosting a Lemmy instance. It probably has a better chance than Lotide, at least right now.
Not all Fediverse software federates with all other software or even uses ActivityPub. Diaspora is still considered part of the Fediverse despite not using ActivityPub because some software like HubZilla can federate with it and ActivityPub.
