@SockPuppet There are a lot of these types of intentional communities out there (though not always libertarian in nature). Derrick Broze is also building one in Mexico.

Wow I can't say anything bad about Muta anymore after he showed off my gaym DESPITE all the problematique content: https://www.youtube.com/watch?t=1139&v=Cyz08j7EchY
@Bad_Banner If he could post the video on to YouTube, he could've just emulated the games.

I am still angry that facial piercings and visible tattoos are no longer verboten in public-facing jobs. Every time I get one or an obviously incompetent minority or a gender blob as waitstaff I am tempted to walk out, but I know nothing will change and I can’t ever return. I usually feel that would be for the best. If my wife weren’t so bad with social confrontation I’d do it. I know she agrees but the confrontation is worse for her than putting up with it. That’s why I don’t like going out to eat.

I don't know why but I'm so nostalgic over Google Video despite the fact that I only watched Lego stop-motion videos on it as a kid.

Switched games - I remember playing a demo version of this a long time ago...
...don't remember finding one of these in it, though.

I really want to know what rules /r/subaruwrx violated five months ago
So apparently YouTube is going ballistic on Invidious instances (again). Just a reminder that Google Video not only allowed you to download their videos but also had their own desktop video player for watching videos offline, granted it was their own proprietary video format, but still.

In a major decision on Friday, the federal Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals held that geofence warrants are “categorically prohibited by the Fourth Amendment.” #privacy #surveillance

Germany is among the first European nations to push at the seams of the #AI Act, with a row brewing over the Federal Ministry of the Interior’s plan to allow police use of facial recognition to identify terrorists. #privacy #surveillance

a smart company would just accept resumes in person at this point. pay some intern minimum wage to sit at a desk and put the resume in the right job opening bin
it solves a bunch of problems

This photo shows the speed in which degraded areas of land can be revived using regenerative cattle grazing.
The landowners rehabilitated this eroded gully that formed in their paddock by fencing cattle IN it, instead of out of it.
This is counterintuitive to how we currently look at land management and regeneration.
The way in which they did this forms the fundamental methods of regenerative agriculture:

Lunduke has a great article on Mozilla funding (where the money goes):

Mozilla has also run unhinged articles about the fediverse:

Deko had a rant about how he's no longer donating to Mozilla, and instead donating to fedi projects, although it's no longer public

@souldessin At least you are still applying your CS skills into a different job instead of letting them go to waste.
Seriously, I don't see any reason why emailing a ZIP file full of stuff you worked on over the years isn't a valid enough portfolio. Not everyone has a big enough presence to justify a personal website. They also want articles. For what? My opinions on the industry? It's just pointless.
A GitHub account, personal website connected to your real name, and a LinkedIn are basically required to get anywhere in the software industry now and it really sucks.
@PurpCat I've never even heard of the term until the NFT craze and Elon Musk becoming public enemy #1.
