Romania Update:

The person with the most votes is George Simon, a guy who campaigned with Georgescu (the one who was banned from running). Now there will be another election in a few weeks to decide between the top and 2nd.

The 2nd is a math professor who is very popular, is not a politician, and is the favorite of my wife.

One day after Simon came in with the most votes, he was seen at the airport boarding a plane to Vienna. Vienna is of course an intelligence hotbed so anyone with a head on his shoulders knows this looks like he's doing deals with RU.

The whole situation is fucked, if they ALSO ban this guy from running, they might as well skip elections because they're pointless anyway - but if he wins, he might well be a foreign asset (*cough* Obama).

My opinion is that they never should have taken a bite out of the "banned from politics" apple, and now who the hell knows what will happen to them.

I couldn't be more proud of their amazing work, and to witness their iconic journey.

It was my friend @ansuz who built a lot of CryptPad, that suggested I apply to NLnet.
