Both Debian and Codeberg lack a good constitution which prevents these things from happened. There also needs to be a separation of powers through trias politica which these two projects lack.
RPG In A Box has a gofundme going to help with development costs and they've only made just over $1,000. The guy has been working on this engine for over a decade and it has progressed so much and it's such a neat thing with so many features. It's kind of sad to see all of that effort go mostly unnoticed.
Reminder for any gamedevs out there to NEVER work for or with Nintendo. These motherfuckers went after former Retro devs for leaking cancelled games. One even suffered from a heart attack due to all the stress from the legal action taken against him. And many of these people did this stuff anonymously.
Apparently the OpenMonero trading platform has been compromised
https://x.com/monerobull/status/2080627692773282014
I've never used it, and it looks like a clone of the old LocalMonero so it has all the baggage that did back in the day. But this breach seems particularly bad:
- bad 2FA implementation meant all accounts could be compromised
- full account takeover was possible
- wallets drained
- trader chat fully accessible, in some cases involving banking info or user addresses if part of trade conversations
This isn't confirmed, since OP could be talking about their ass. But if anybody's using this place, you might want to pull out your funds and stay away from it for a while.
