Schizo painter publishing his own trading card game was not on my bingo card.
@sendpaws Seeing a lot of this lately. People are making lists, etc. How long before they actually start killing FOSS maintainers for wrong opinions?
@ube You can work and make games for me and my studio....if I can ever afford to hire employees.
@beardalaxy Is there an inverse of that because I'm a biological male who lacks an Adam's apple.
Honestly, if Drew DeVault made a list of people/organizations who genuinely pose a threat to FOSS (e.g scams/grifters like Mozilla, Cannonical, RedHat, Purism, etc), I would have no problem with that, but no. He had to make a list about people who said <insert even remotely RW idea here>.
I remember the days when the number one way to trigger a FOSS dev was to call the movement "marxist"/"communist", but it seems like some have unironically embraced this accusation and will cancel anyone who says otherwise.
@Spooke Before Drew was even relevant in the FOSS community, he was already infamous on calculator forums for being a closed-minded narcissist who demanded certain threads to be locked and certain users banned (and not even for political reasons). And on one forum he was a moderator on, he shut down their IRC channel and deleted a thread about someone else's calculator language because he couldn't win an argument against someone.
I don't know why anyone would ever take this guy seriously. It seems like he just wants the FOSS community to cater to him and he is just using woke leftism as a smoke screen. Either that or he is secretly being paid by Big Tech to destroy the FOSS community from within by creating pointless drama.
@Spooke It's Drew DeVault creating a massive hit-list of FOSS people he doesn't like.
@PurpCat Now that I think about it, they would just fully embrace the Suckless community since they are anti-woke and are even more autistic than the rest of the FOSS community.
