And that's just for the Application cert. There are actually two different certs for Node.JS that the Linux Foundation offers. One of them goes over application development (Node.JS runtime, etc.) the other is about writing microservices and REST APIs in Node.JS.
@Tadano Yeah, but I might need to learn it. That's what the market wants right now.
So, I decided to pick up Node.JS and plan on taking the certification exam because that's where the market seems to want right now, but when I looked at the website this is what would be on the exam.
Seriously, why do I need to learn this much? I thought Node was just simply a JS runtime that allows it to run server side, there is literally no reason for it to take this much to master.
@maylay Maybe they found some exploit that could be used to run pirated games. Developers actually do this for legacy games and consoles.
@shebang Justin Trudeau wants your personal assault weapon factory.
Male celibacy: I devote my life to my work pushing civilization forward. My children and lasting legacy are my inventions/discoveries.
Female celibacy: I don't need a man or kids. I'm going to live my life as an independent woman, and spend my time and money on what makes me happy like the latest iPhone and watching Netflix. God, why am I so depressed.
@djsumdog @ooignignoktoo Depends on the job. If your job involves creativity like a game designer, then yes, think outside of the box. Otherwise, just stick with the tried and true methods because you are just wasting everyone's time.
@noyoushutthefuckupdad @BowsacNoodle @Jean_Philippe_Micheaux @LurkPerry @WeissenSocken88 But being an illegal business person is fun.
@noyoushutthefuckupdad @BowsacNoodle @Jean_Philippe_Micheaux @LurkPerry @WeissenSocken88 You should've done it on your own. One of my biggest regrets was not making a business selling copied music CDs and DVDs that I borrow from the library.
@WeissenSocken88 @BowsacNoodle @LurkPerry @noyoushutthefuckupdad It was due to the MIL-CD exploit. Basically, Sega created a CD format that allows interactive content to music CDs when placed in a Dreamcast. There weren't that many MIL-CDs, but hackers realized that you can just use the game's ISO as the MIL-CD software and play pirated and homebrew games.
But it's not enough. If you look into the Dreamcast homebrew scene it's mostly 2D games or hacks of existing 3D Dreamcast games. Apparently, there is still not enough documentation on the system.
@LurkPerry @BowsacNoodle @noyoushutthefuckupdad I wish Sega open-sourced their Dreamcast after discontinuing it. Atari did that with the Jaguar. Even though the Dreamcast has an active homebrew community, they are limited on what they can do because they have to rely on CDs using the MIL-CD exploit, as opposed to the GD-ROMs that official games use.
