@lanodan CS job market sucks right now. It looks like those with CS degrees are working in IT for the time being.

The number of scams involving precious metals is proliferating. Criminals have always targeted gold and silver because pretty much nothing is easier to fence at or near full market value. Con artists know the promise of gold can play to a victim’s greed.

With inflation at a high, the dollar losing its purchasing power, average people are losing faith in the financial system altogether.

Just in case getting supplies isn’t expensive enough (or difficult enough in the areas hit by Hurricane Helene), now the dockworkers from Maine to Texas have gone on strike.

Lets start with all the amendments after 10, then in 5 years we can revisit and see if we want to go further.

developer politics are tiring I think a lot of devs just want to tinker cool shit. which is why they just hired someone else to manage the people.

it's annoying that we have to basically employ counter extremists now

You can’t see it, or smell it, or taste it, and nor can children, but lead could be causing a host of detrimental effects on kids. Moreover, no one knows how many public schools don’t have safe drinking water.

@beardalaxy It's honestly a type of sponsorship that I gave zero shits about. The game can never interest me in the slightest no matter how hard they shill it. But I honestly don't care if YouTubers or other content creators sponsor it.

I honestly prefer that over people shilling VPNs that are known honeypots or meal-replacement drinks with known toxins.

so apparently raid shadow legends sponsorships were like $10-$20 thousand. that's insane. i don't blame youtubers for taking that deal at all.

@beardalaxy I can't believe you didn't realize that until now. I've always argued that it's part of the reason why Nintendo doesn't know what to do with the series anymore. The other part was that, along with F-Zero, the series started off as an over-glorified tech-demo.

NULLIFY THEM: Jefferson's Rightful Remedy from the American Revolution
“A nullification of the act is THE rightful remedy.” That’s how Thomas Jefferson said we should respond to any federal act that goes beyond the limits of the Constitution. But here’s the thing - Jefferson wasn’t inventing something new in 1798. He was reminding us of principles that were at the heart of the American Revolution - ideas the people used to resist tyranny. And today, those principles are more important than ever.
