@coolboymew @hfaust "Why would Nintendo ever do a stupid decision with cart prices, that's impossible"
Really, until recently, adult games were always games that you had to go out of your way to find. Prior to Steam, they were mostly on shareware sites or purchased via mail-order. Steam banning such games will just bring them back to self-hosting.
@gabriel I'm lucky that my extended family decided to use SMS group chats in place of Facebook, even if some of them still use it.
I don't know much about Facebook Marketplace. I still see plenty of ads on my local craigslist, even if they items they're selling require a bit of a drive.
Feeling a bit of FOMO from refusing to have a Facebook account for years.
It's weird to ask the fedi about this, but does having a facebook account actually matter in 2025?
Ironically I think Facebook Marketplace is what I'm missing out the most on because many people refuse to use anything else... 😮💨
It looks like fedi's biggest schizo, charliebrownau is autistically preaching about da joos on Xlibre's mailing list.

@Eleutheria2 @usluck Nobody uses "alt-lite" anymore, especially since they've been proven to be no different than neocons.
Microsoft president Brad Smith acknowledged that the four rounds of layoffs this year are more about using the money saved to fund AI data centers and GPUs than workers being replaced by AI.
I think this is important for the media to get right versus making it seem like ChatGPT can replace a human worker.
@frost Take note that I'm talking about vacations (i.e being away from work AND home) and not just weekends or days off. Even when I'm unemployed or have extended time off, it's harder for me to get into that gamedev mindset than when I'm away from home.
