We also weren't poor growing up. Everyone had their own computer. Had a nice house. Nice neighborhood. Food. My parents just built a 700K house. It's not about money. It's the people. You can grow up in poverty and have a good childhood. You can grow up middleclass and have a shit childhood.
Apparently there's a gay woke controversy about autism on Twitter, so I just want to say that political correctness and all who enforce it are bigger oppressors of autists than Autism Speaks or any of that shit. (And I don't even particularly like Autism Speaks)
Working with PyQT5, I can understand why so many people gravitate towards Electron Cancer. Having things immediately update, without going through some bizarre event processing, makes it a lot easier to do progress bars and other things without the entire UI locking up.
Almost every toolkit is retained mode, and forcing updates is always way harder than it should be.
