Idea for a horror movie: mass vaccination ala COVID, but instead of being lame and maybe causing some injuries in some people down the line, it creates extreme pain and desire in anyone who has not eaten X amount of protein in the past 24 hours. Grocery stores sell out of meat in a week. Farms start being raided. People in the inner cities start cannibalizing each other. It ends up like a zombie movie, but every single zombie still has their humanity (or shreds of it) and will plea, bargain, or trick to try to get what they want (your flesh)
