So given today is September 11th, I would like to take this as an opportunity to talk about something that has been in the back of my mind for a while:

I've heard from multiple people (particularly millennials) that prior to 9/11 they didn't watch, listen to, read, or care about the news. You could probably excuse that by saying that many of them were just kids at the time and kids generally don't care about the news, but it is something that resonates with me because my older brother claimed to have started paying close attention to the news after 9/11 and we I was the same age as my brother was during that time, my mother complained about me not reading the newspaper and calling me "ignorant". I shrugged it off as her trying to get me to read more in my free-time because I wasn't big on reading as a kid.

Years later, I feel like that mentality never died. I feel like people are shamed if they are not aware about the recent mass shooting, terrorist attack, war, genocide, police brutality incident, racial injustice, riot, natural disaster, celebrity death, or whatever, whether these events are real or psyops. Like I'm supposed to be constantly up to date on everything that happens in this vast world. I honestly don't think the human mind is even capable of being up to date and empathetic to everything that is going on (or is being staged if you are a conspiracy theorist) 24/7. You should be more focused on what goes on in your local area and how it affects you and your loved ones. Sure, there are events that do affect us even if they happen on the other side of the planet, but those are the exception rather than the rule.

And most of the time, the most important news stories are buried in favor of the current distraction. Most of the news links I repost here are ones that I feel are more important than what people are currently promoting, but I guess that's the power of psyops.

People are constantly talking about the need for a social media detox. How about a news detox? News, especially mainstream (and controlled opposition "alternative") news is designed to keep you afraid and constantly listening, so that you accept whatever tyranny the elites will give you. The best thing to do is to limit your intake, and ignore those who call you "ignorant".

How can the Dreamcast be considered underrated when so many people are talking about it?
