@kirby @RustyCrab I'd just like to interject for a moment. What you’re referring to as GNU, is in fact, Linux/GNU, or as I’ve recently taken to calling it, Linux plus GNU. GNU is not an operating system unto itself, but rather another free component of a fully functioning OS made useful by the Linux kernel, comprising a full OS as defined by POSIX. Many computer users run a modified version of the Linux system every day, without realizing it. Through a peculiar turn of events, the version of Linux which is widely used today is often called “GNU”, and many of its users are not aware that it is basically the Linux system, developed by the Linux Project. There really is a GNU, and these people are using it, but it is just a part of the system they use. Linux is the kernel: the program in the system that allocates the machine’s resources to the other programs that you run. The corelibs are an essential part of an operating system, but useless by themselves; it can only function in the context of a complete operating system. GNU is normally used in combination with the Linux operating system: the whole system is basically Linux with GNU added, or Linux/GNU. All the so-called “GNU” distributions are really distributions of Linux/GNU.

Journalists Dan Astin-Gregory and Derrick Broze report from the United Nations building in New York City at the conclusion of the UN’s “Action Days” directly preceding the Summit of the Future.

So I found out there was a decompilation project for Harvest Moon 64 and whoever programmed the original game loved nested if/switch statements because there is a ton. Granted, the game is programmed in C, and I'm used to OOP, but I don't understand why they couldn't just use data tables and function pointers. It's almost as if YandereDev wrote this.

This is the last part in a series looking at the plans of the UN implementing the agenda of the Summit of the Future in New York on 22-23 September 2024, and its implications for global health, economic development, and human rights.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is set to be in New York this week for the 78th meeting of the United Nations General Assembly and the Summit of the Future amid increasing geopolitical instability around the world.
"Canada will have a leading role in making the world fairer and more prosperous," Trudeau said in a news release last week. "I look forward to working with other leaders to accelerate progress on our shared priorities and build a better future for everyone."

Three documents the UN is hoping will be adopted by 193 nations at a summit in 10 days lack transparency and use ambiguous language.

The ‘Pact for the Future’ dilutes the paramount importance of human rights. The ‘Declaration on Future Generations’ raises questions about who can legitimately represent the interests of hypothetical future generations. And the ‘Global Digital Compact’ is an attempt by the UN to place itself in the driver’s seat to manage and control the digital revolution for all nations.

With these three documents, the UN is pushing for centralised global governance with itself at the helm.

It is pretty well known that government agencies are withholding thousands of “protected” files related to the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. As of 2023, 4,684 assassination records are still “fully or partially” withheld from the public.

Just two days from now, the UN will hold the Summit of the Future where there will be talks about turning the organization into an actual one world government to help accelerate their Agenda 2030 Sustainable Development Goals. Yet, ever since this was announced there has been utter silence about this in both the mainstream and most of the alternative media.

However there is still a chance to stop this. While I wouldn't advise putting full faith into it, there is a petition on The Conscious Resistance that you can sign to state your opposition to it.

But I think a better way to approach this is through nullification (American states using their 10th Amendment rights). Louisiana passed a bill a back in April, stating that the UN, WHO, and WEF have no authority over the state. If we can get enough states and maybe even municipalities to nullify the UN, we may have an even better chance. If you don't live in the US, see if your constitution has a similar nullification clause.

For the 40th Anniversary of "Elite", Ian Bell has released the source codes for the Apple, Atari, C64, and NES versions of the game for free.

He also released the source for the unfinished SNES and BBC ports. A very cool gift for such a pioneering space sim.

>You can't self host a public server in 2024 because 99.999% of the traffic comes from bots permanently DDoSing your connection so it will never be reachable. I tried it many times in the past 5 years and it always ended the same. You are basically forced to use a third party service with a shitty cloud protection these days.
