Hot take: if digital privacy is as unattainable as the people telling us to give up on it was, none of this would be necessary.

Oh and also sprinkle in a little parmigiano reggiano to spice up the cheese flavor, I'd like to test that as well...

Apparently stone is the wrong choice unless your oven can do like 600F or more. If you want a good crispy bottom with an oven, go for steel.

I made some on Friday, I don't have a stone or a steel, but it came out okay - clearly no browning on the bottom.

Key points:
* Flour -> the cheap kind, salt, olive oil -> cold pressed
* 60% hydration
* 20 minutes autolyze
* 2 hours fermentation on the table
* 6 hours fermentation in the fridge (more is apparently better, but I started the morning of)
* Sprinkle semolina on the table when stretching
* Sauce is just "pizza sauce" from the store, 70g per 30cm pizza
* Cheese -> Low moisture mozzarella without anti-caking agent
* Cook at 270C (520F) top shelf

What I would improve:
* Like to try to get a slightly airier crust, esp. at the edges
* Skip the meat, it turns it into a "pepperoni pizza" (greasy)
* Try to cook at higher heat and/or use a steel to get the golden brown on the bottom

I finally got around to adding PocketBook note support to Bibliobunny:

https://gitlab.com/djsumdog/bibliobunny

That allowed me to add over 30 books worth of quotes from books I've read over the past year. Follow @bookquotebot for random book quotes.

In hindsight it seems they didn't need to attack self-hosting directly because the plan was always to price consumers out of hardware access.

Frustrating seeing El Salvador doing the things that any country would do if they weren't all run by criminals and whimsical fools.

Prisons which are designed to re-habilitate: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OrK9nVLAqwk

And of course the lifers are put in a different place, because of course you do that.

Anyone who posts and browses political ragebait on Twitter/bsky/fedi needs a bpm monitor hooked up so I can laugh at their heart rate going up over arguing over politics like those driver San Francisco missions with a bpm icon

Court just ruled only feelings you express are protected, not any actually useful speech:

reuters.com/legal/government/n

Basically this creates differences between regions (a circuit court decides the law, but it's impact is limited to the states which are part of said circuit) as to whether or not your right to publish 3d printable gun blueprints is protected under the US constitution or not.

In this case that means it's potentially illegal to distribution gun blueprints in (and technically depending on the laws of the state): Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware.

From the article:

"In a statement, Second Amendment Foundation Director of Legal Operations Bill Sack said the ruling 'goes against prior courts which have ruled code is indeed speech, creating a new test that seems to have been prompted by this panel's disfavor of firearms.'"
