I kind of agree with Feinmann that the physics that supports 90% of what we do in everyday stuff is pretty settled.

Stuff like genetics or climate prediction though. That needs a LONG time in the oven. Maybe they're just too complex and affected by chaos to ever be properly understood.

The big deal about science is that it encourages to go against groupthink, if you have the evidence to do so. Otherwise we'd still be doing the whole newtonian thing with frames of reference instead of doing the einstein thing, and we wouldn't have nice things like GPS or nukes.

I keep seeing nonsense about how the unvaccinated are killing the vaccinated because they're spreading the virus that can also be spread by the vaccinated, and I keep asking "who fucking buys this bullshit?"
And it's almost everyone.

I think even most of the people who know it's bullshit just go along with the lie because it's easier to just play along than to put their foot down and say it's bullshit and I'm not playing around anymore.

If the government started saying that they needed to search everyone's house in the country, I fear that most people would let them rather than "cause trouble."

@emtm while I have other reasons the top reason I don't get the jab is because I don't want to be a statistic which according to politicians retroactively justify their mandates. I wouldn't go to any establishment enforcing mandates regardless of my status. I am unironically passively resisting this authoritarian government action through inaction.

@crunklord420 what i find most depressing is that there are sorts of people who, say, don't want to get a vaccine now. This takes away the very fundamental right to do your own risk assessment of the situation. It is truly a way to make people into nigger cattle.
Imagine, even people, who want a vaccine and are just waiting a bit for a better one, are also being forced to just take the jab now. for no reason. and everyone on reddit will cheer this and say how necessary this is.

And I forgot, right when more restrictions started, I told that governments will try eventually to force the jab. People said that is insane and will never happen. Look where we are.

@crunklord420 When the virus was just starting to spread I had a flight. I wore a mask during it and also on the train from the airport. in the train a woman angrily approached me and told me that I should not wear a mask if I am not sick.
Afterwards at work, my coworker was smugly explaining me how masks don't do anything, since virus is too small. Shops which had ffp2 masks also had a sign saying that virus is too small and masks don't help.
And then, on command, everyone flip-flopped and started smugly explaining how important those measures are.

I am so tired of this. This entire thing has been one of the biggest possible blackpills and taught me to unequivocally trust only my own instincts.
