I don't feel this way about any other platforms. There's tribalism, fighting, and censorship elsewhere but it hasn't been processed down into this highly controlled bland gruel that is fed to, and regurgitated by the ledditors.

@xianc78 @aprogrammer no it's because there's no real mechanism for incentivized decentralized media hosting. All video hosting is essentially paid for and centralized by LBRY corp. They also have a centralized blacklisting API that's part of the library used by the rest of the software.

There's little value in the blockchain metadata portion. That doesn't actually contain the video, I'm not even sure if it contains comments.

They have been claiming since 2017 that they are investigating properly decentralizing their video hosting, but in reality that seems unlikely if not impossible. There's no "proof of video" mechanism.

Just some photos inside my HP 9000 380, a modular, extremely expandable 1980s UNIX workstation/instrument controller/BASIC and Pascal workstation. This was the last of the series or the next to last one, and the fastest model. It features a 68040, 16mb ram (upgradable to 128mb iirc), SCSI, HPIB/GPIB, and Ethernet. The video board does 1024x768 (or something approximating that).
