Forming an internet community around a mental illness is one of the worst things you can do for public perception of people with said mental illness, because it'll inevitably be a clusterfuck of the most unstable elements of those affected who enable each other's worst tendencies.
While I personally find gamedev more enjoyable then general application programming, I wish that I have done more non-game programming because I would probably be a much better programmer now.
Can we stop with this politically correct lie that "everyone is special" or "everyone is good at something"? Let's just finally admit that some people are better than others in every single way and that some people are just destined to be failures.
