Regarding my last post. "Art isn't dead, you're just stuck watching corporate sh**" (Disney/Marvel/DC/EA Games/Blizzard/ Activision)
I was talking with a friend about it.
90% of what I consume is indie media. Bcz I learned habits that allow me to find cool indie stuff seamlessly.
But it can be hard for ppl who are used to just consume what is trending, to just go off the grid with their media.
Maybe we need something like a "manual to abandon corporate media". It could be a Zine.
Here's one more problem with the modern Internet.
Novel and new innovations of the network effect are no longer built as open protocols.
Instead, they're built as proprietary APIs, or are based on someone else's proprietary API.
This is what effectively happened with Twitter. Their API was only "open" insofar as they allowed access. The moment the pulled access -- too bad for everyone building off their open API!
To wit, new open protocols were (and are!) needed.
In order to keep the Fediverse a safe and friendly environment free of hate, we’ve published a blocklist. We recommend everyone block this list of servers. Thank you.
@eletrotupi while we’re on the topic, I’d like free, public, A+ quality food, healthcare, a house, and a gaming PC.
Besides, a fleet of taxis would be the ideal public transport if not for the fact that each one needs to have a human driver, which makes them horribly inefficient and forces us to fall back to mass transit, with all of its shortcomings and annoyances. Guess what will happen if we manage to eliminate the whole driver issue? Autonomous taxis as cheap as buses. Yes please.
this indie bnnuy web animation trailer seems cool lol
thanks @cnx for the link
