in 1-2 hours (or earlier if the blizzard dies down) the matrix server will be taken offline for maybe 10-15 minutes to swap drives from the failing chassis to the new prepped chassis and re-racked

as always i don't suspect any issues but im scheduling about 1 hour of downtime in the event something happens (something has only happened maybe twice)

Just like how CNN did that one alt-tech video with the woman going on about how it was all shit like moon man videos, bluesky is literally only focusing on Elon Musk and Donald Trump and as one person on another instance put it, it feels like a retirement home for 2010s socjus types on Twitter.

Other fun facts about Bluesky:
Someone I know who was begging for an invite a few months back has literally said the fun of the site is gone
Accounts are getting inactive
The people I know hyping the site up have also gone inactive, except for the most vocal anti-Musk people (who couldn't make it on Mastodong because of the fact furry instances all suck ass).
No DMS or federation in 2024 yet
You still can't post gifs, or videos
Despite all your rage, if you're a furry or internet artist you still need to use Twitter, where you can post furry porn once a month or year and then go back to crying about AI/Trump/cars.

So here's something really cool I found, apparently #Telegram is very notorious for having the unholy combination of a FOSS client with a "black box" as a server.

As it turns out, not one but two different devs have reversed the server side of Telegram and written their own implementation of it.
