Be careful: fake emails are circulating in the name of Free/Libre and Open Source projects. Below, an email received by @kdenlive that the official team does not recognize. Be vigilant, these are no doubt scams.

Under the hood of Windows 2000: The MS-DOS 7 that hides beneath

Microsoft never sold MS-DOS 7 separately. But when upgrading from Windows 98 to Windows 2000, you'll end up with a hidden MS-DOS 7 on your hard drive.
That leaves me with 4 questions:
What is it all about?
Where does it come from?
What happens, when upgrading from Windows Me?
And why is it there in the Windows 2000 final release, but only functional in the Windows 2000 Release Candidate 2?

Sweet Baby Inc. called on the man behind 'Sweet Baby Inc detected' to get banned for creating this tracker. Then people dug up old Tweets from Sweet Baby Inc. CEO Kim Belair. She seems kinda racist and misandrist. The tracker then went from 20.000 to over 100.000 followers

Multiple levels have now been implemented.

The second level is indeed a new one. The procedural generation algorithm made the starting room look like the ending room of the previous one.

Now that GamerGate is being brought up again, I should probably do some independent research to see if GamerGate was really just a psyop.

The American court system doesn't care about law or justice, all it cares about is allowing multinational megacorporations and billionaires to drag innocent people to court so they can bleed them dry with frivolous, pointless lawsuits for fun. It's what rich people do for entertainment.

What the fuck? Why? Why did they think it was a loosing? Clean room emulators are legal. Did Yuzu have some code from leaks in it?

My read on #bluesky is that they are effectively sucking the air out of the decentralization balloon, whether they intend to or not. On the tech side, the #ATprotocol will prevent much decentralization from ever happening and divert the focus that was on #ActivityPub development. On the culture side, they deter a critical mass from developing here, which we need to overwhelm the influence of our most annoying users and lure in the people most people want to follow and interact with. #fediverse

Added an exit tile (actually an object on it's own and not a child of the "Tile" class) that is randomly placed on each floor. Though it does nothing yet.

The lure of conveniently signing in to private digital services using a single official eID app is a trap. Overidentification will gradually erode our right to use digital services anonymously which currently keeps us safe from criminal activity, unauthorised disclosure, identity theft, stalking and other forms of abuse of personal data. The eID app will not allow for multiple, truly separate user profiles which vulnerable persons rely on.

The server-side code of the eID wallet will not have to be open source, meaning the public cannot know what the code actually does and if it is safe.

In view of all this, the new EU eID app will not be trustworthy and will fail to sufficiently encourage the development of digital and eGovernment services in Europe – much to the Pirates regret.“

netherlands:

everyone speaks english.
“card only” signs everywhere.
“sorry, we’re forbidden from accepting cash”.
employees even at big grocery chains visibly confused by cash and struggling to count coins.

germany:

“was?”
“cash only” signs everywhere.
“sorry, card payments from 10eur only”.
“easy online payments, just provide your online banking login and password to sofort, it’s completely safe and totally does not blatantly violate the terms of agreement you signed with your bank”.

The famous one planned for Oxford UK only restricts/monitors traffic directly between the zones from nside the city. If you want to leave the city and drive around the so called "ring road", you can enter any of the other zones from outside the city unmonitor.... *for now*. I have very little confidence that they wouldn't just add monitoring to the roads leaving the city as well once they have all the infrastructure in place for it.
