@bonkmaykr this was never a secret. It was obvious to everyone. "No one's contributing!". Obviously gatekept. A hostile fork was inevitable. Eventually someone is going to hack in HDR or something, because they *need* it. What will the foundation do then? Probably not merge.

I really need to stop using placeholder assets from copyrighted games. I just know that one day, I will publish a game with some asset I forgot to remove and later get a DMCA from Nintendo.

The words "You don't get to own Program" should never, ever, ever be uttered by an organization supposedly dedicated to Free Software.

This is yet another gigantic mask-off moment for Red Hat Inc. and the GNOME foundation, it should be a wakeup call to every computer user and yet the corporate shot heard 'round the world is yet again ignored.

Please spread this. FreeDesktop wants you and the tools you rely on for your day-to-day zombified and then dead.

Can we come to the conclusion that Red Hat only want to have a system that they and only they can control?

Please don't let those people take the control of the desktop ecosystem. "Free to choose" has always been one of the killer features of GNU/Linux desktop and those people are trying to kill it.

If you've been on the fence about supporting GrapheneOS, now might be a good time to start.

We're also going to need to start heavily focusing on making our own devices going forward.

You only need a few federally planted instigators to start the entire cycle of biometric government IDs with conservatives clamoring for it.

This whole thing is a clusterfuck of a psyop and nobody will win.

It's so awesome that Bandwagon is getting attention alongside the tech world. Here's one from thenewstack.io/bringing-joy-ba

"My personal favorite at FediForum was Bandwagon, an app for musicians to share their work and get paid using Stripe or other payment providers."

😍 😍 😍 😍

This wouldn't happen without the Fediverse. The network effect is already strong, and it's growing daily.

British farmer speaks about about Bill Gates' agenda:

"I'm in receipt of a document which states that, by 2030, there is to be a 50% reduction in farmed animals, and by 2050, [a 100% reduction]. ... And guess who has signed up to that? [Keir] Starmer and Bill Gates."

if your game is gonna sell three copies you may as well make it free software and at least make it less likely it gets turned into dust by the passage of time

More reason to keep publishing on alternatives. For RetroEdge, we use our own #peertube server.

@pettanko @ChristiJunior Also, what makes these shitstains think anyone needs their permission to use something to train AI?

There's an old saying to the effect of the best way to learn to be a better writer is to read. I don't need anyone's special permission to learn something. What the flying fuck makes machine learning any different?

The government is staging these riots to make the whole Palantir shit look justified.

Pavel Durov, founder of Telegram, speaks out for the first time after his kidnapping by the government of France (likely at the behest of the US) for the dastardly crime of providing telecommunication services to the world (while simultaneously compromising your freedom by complying with government orders to hand over your personal information to said governments):

(this is the danger of even giving anyone reason or giving the appearance that you might be liberty-leaning in an pro-authoritarian leftist/right world, Pavel Durov isn't a libertarian, but he may lean that way on some issues in some respect)

@sun @vriska i mean, i get the OP is an exaggeration, but don't think conflating "this guy doesn't pay his bills, so you probably don't want to give him credit or enter into long-term financial obligations with him" with "this guy wrote 'winnie pooh' and isn't allowed to fly on a plane now" makes any sense.
