The thing about the cenobites that few understand, is that when they say that they appear as angels to others they're not being euphemistic or talking about personal tastes, they literally appear differently to different people, and do different things, even beautiful things, as opposed to horrific. The book has this. I think they give you what you truly want, and if you have low self esteem they will give you the punishment you feel you deserve, no matter how much you beg for it to stop.

@rats @cummies I don't think there's anything they won't do, theres corpos that sell objects designed to rip the human body apart, and they don't care who they sell it to, it's only about money and what they can legally do, the only thing stopping corpos is law, which is backed by force, and so literally the only thing stopping them from going bananas on all of us is the state has a gun to their heads, but the state aren't a bunch of purely good guys either.

@amerika @doorroo @rats I used to think that about fetishes, that they should be kept private, but my stance on behavior in public spaces has become more libertarian. I think it should be the opposite, if a person doesn't want to see others living their lives in ways that make them sick, they need to stick to private property where such behavior is banned. Our concept of private property also needs to be reexamined, when I think of private property I think of a house on a plot, not a town, but there is no reason at all why a town, or even a city can't be private property. And the state can still come in if crazy shit is happening, using warrants, so it's not like it will be a free for all inside the private zones with like slaves and shit. It's just a way for everyone to be free. The people who can't stomach seeing degeneracy get to have safe spaces, and america as a state gets to remain libertine.
