> You must eat 1g of protein per pound of body weight.

So many innfluencers are repeating this advice, but I have a funny question...

Who the fuck is this advice for? It cannot be for Europeans, and It cannot be for Americans either, unless they take drugs I guess.

@LukeAlmighty Its much more impossible in eruo for sure, in America its possible but you have to cook at least three to four meals a day.
@LukeAlmighty UOH BROWN LADY WITH THE FIT TUMMY

The ideal target demo is newbies trying to get their new gains, maintain the muscles gains, and lose proportional fat quantities.

Not bad advise overall, but there's also the way they push an emphasis to get bigger and bigger, as is the culture of the industry in America. Sustainment and longevity aren't emphasized even if they are given lip-service
@LukeAlmighty ah, yeah sure. It's rather a general measurement of lean body weight, not gross bodyweight. But even still
@LukeAlmighty 1g per lb is impossible for me
I am NOT eating 160g of protien a day
too expensive

@Hyperhidrosis @LukeAlmighty that's what i'm saying man, i'm struggling to get to 100. like am i supposed to just be doing nothing but drinking protein shakes all day or what? xD

i increased my protein intake from what i was doing previously and i'm allocating funds to it so that's good enough for me at this point.

@LukeAlmighty It's for bodybuilders. 1.5g/kg is more reasonable, but to be honest I have a hard time even reaching the standard dietary recommendation of 1g/kg.
@LukeAlmighty it is for me because it tastes good and I favor any dietary advice that justifies my tastes

@LukeAlmighty I think 1g per pound is definitely if you are doing significant training and already pretty muscular, for average guy going to gym it's more like 0.7g per pound.

Also yeah Americans know grams for nutrients, it's on our packages, never ever seen oz for that.
