Very recently, someone lamented to us how much is done in software today rather than hardware. We tried to familiarise them with a few things they could try but they then said they "trust Microsoft".
They are starting to have issues with cognition, but even so, it fills us with dread when we hear people say things like this.

@LukeAlmighty @abloo It always bugged me on Windows. If a game installer asked for admin I had no easy way to know what it was doing to my system. Now everything is sandboxed so I don't need to worry about it.

I've reached a breaking point the moment, microsoft broke the hybernation feature.
I can no longer put my PC to sleep, without it scaring me to death whenever it decides to just turn on by itself.
