Fucking idiots became absolutely zoged in here when that invasion started.

A russian supporter used to be a common boogeyman in here. Kind of a maga equivalent for anyone who didn't like globohomo union.

But when the invasion happened, the meaning changed from "you don't like globohomo" to a Putin controlled insurrectionist.

In the Czech Republic, nine people were convicted of supporting Russia. Of these, eight received fines and suspended sentences, and one received nine months in prison for social media posts in support of the war.

Of course anorexia is a real issue, but I hate when people tell me "not to get anorexic", when I just want to stop being obese.

We live in an obese society, not an anorexic one.

@LukeAlmighty That's fair. I think the kids should be given a pass, and that what to do about the parents and custody and so forth should be more a matter of circumstance than a blanket policy. If parents can't acquire food for their kids in good times, that usually merits bringing the hammer down on them over it. But if you're in the middle of a famine or something, it's much more forgivable for those people to go hungry.

> For far too many kids in this country, school lunch (and breakfast) are their main source for a nutritious meal.

> Back when we lived in NYC, it was a big deal to have a snow day for schools because they knew those kids needed to eat...

I am sorry, but I don't see how else should I interpret that post.

@NEETzsche @matana @renwillis @Lumeinshin
Yes.
I am saying, that if a kid is not fed by the family, it might be safer in a foster home at that point.

Kids have to eat. Obviously. But the OP was saying, that parents should have no responsibility to do so. And that was sickening.

@NEETzsche @matana @renwillis @Lumeinshin
I see, that neither you nor Matana understood my point, so it is very possible I worded it seriously incorrectly. :ablobthinkingeyes:

No, I was the bullied kid.
But we didn't have uniforms, so thanks for that info.

@feld
To be fair, beanbags are a lifesaver, since noone has the balls to put beds into schools and offices.
