Elon's business is literally build on government donations and he has to deal with corporate partners every single day. I find it hard to believe many people thought he will support free speech. In his position, it would literally lead to arrest in mere days.

But more importantly, he doesn't even need to. His motivation is (and he said so many times) to destroy the woke hold over technological infrastructure and therefore all communication options. And aligning himself with trad Christian cuckservative right will do the job

People on the left unironically believe, that I cannot possibly support abortions if I am on the right. And people on the right believe, that noone on the left can be against LGBT cult.

So.... I kinda hate comparing the "come beliefs on both sides", since 1/2 of them are not really so hard connected.

Oh, I am not ashamed of the fact, that I got radicalized. Because I was the "true Star Trek common humanity" believer 15 years ago.

I wish I knew words, that could describe to an average liberal what a total and unfalsifiable rejection of that belief actually was the BLM movement.
