When it comes to employer - employee relationship, I hate when people pretend you cannot "just quit". Yes, it is a hard choice, but you can always find another minimum wage job, and employee quitting on spot is going to hurt him too. (giving you some negotiating power)

But yeah... To pretend legal system can ever help a low income person is just laughable.

Possibly, but no matter how insignificant the original difference was, the important part was to synchronize it among everyone eventually.

You have 2 options. Left and right. Maybe by accident, 51 percent of cases people decided to dodge to the right. When they did so successfully, their brain noticed that it was working better.
