While I don't care at all for Sims 1, their magic expansion was enormous.
But I still think the Sims 2 was the peak content, and Sims 3 peak gameplay.

The tech demo from Paradox seems to be quite unfocused. The Sims was developed as a house-trading simulator in it's initial phase, and that lead to Sims having an individual will/needs. The "play whoever you want, any time" part in trailer scared me a lot, since that would change the nature from a simulation to a sandbox.

I know... Sims 3 has objectively better mechanics, (true open world for example), while Sims 2 has the most content.
And I have a complete version of Sims 2 anyway. I just wanted to check out the modding scene.
So, I have activated Sims 4 (a free game) on Steam.
I see Steam try to launch Origin (now renamed).
So, I turn on Origin. And I cannot launch the game from there, because it was activated through Steam.
Let me repeat that.
I cannot play a free game directly, because I have activated it once indirectly....

Když už jsme u těch konspiračních teorií, tak já jsem si kolem covidu vytvořil tenhle příběh. Fauci dělal neoficiální pokusy na coronavirech ve Wuhanu, asi pro výzkum léků. Něco se dostalo ven, netušil přesně co, tak trochu zpanikařil a předpokládal to nejhorší. Vyděsil US vládu a ta obratem vyděsila ostatní vlády a začaly se dělat manévry. Zničené ekonomiky, zanedbaná zdravotní péče, jen aby si Fauci zachránil zadek. Wuhanský virus už v podstatě zmizel na jaře/v létě 2020. Ale už se začaly dělat testy, které ukazovaly pozitivitu i na běžné, neškodné coronaviry, takže manévry pokračovaly. Mezitím vlády nalily hromady peněz do výzkumu vakcín, ale nikdo s ničím nepřišel, tak aby to nevypadalo, že se peníze vyhodily do kanálu, tak se všichni začali tvářit, že nefunkční šmejd s hromadou vedlejších účinků je ta zázračná vakcína, která už stejně byla zbytečná, protože ten Wuhanský virus už dávno sám zmizel.
