I was never genius in the brain power department. But I know how I work enough to excel.

I remember one event that made this crystal clear. It was unironically a professional IQ test with a shrink in a room. She said a series of random symbols, and my task was to say them in reverse. After several rounds, I could see her getting excited. We were getting into some real long string territory. So, she asked if I visualized the words getting turned, or how I did it. Obviously, she expected one of these insane brain intensive strategies, and there I understood, just how ordinary my great score was.

Because........ I was remembering the string without flipping. I was reading the string as it was with no switching, saying last 1-2 letters, and then saying the entire string in my head again, this time shorter.

Still one of the highest scores they had though 🤪🤪🤪
