@wizardmanperson @Shadowman311 You know the guy who made the "Don't talk to cops" video? He wrote a follow up book full of cases of people talking to cops and getting imprisoned for years/decades, most of them asked for a lawyer in a roundabout way that was ignored by the cops and then argued in court as not counting as an assertion of the 5th amendment.
The worst example was a young guy who was told by his dad to "ask for a lawyer", so the kids says to the cops "my dad told me I should ask for a lawyer what do you think?", the cops interrogated him for 10 hours and he went to jail.

Shit like this would get you laughted at out of society not that many years ago. I still remember when they were saying a girl wearing pants is normal, and expecting them or forcing them to wear skirts is abusive. Well, now they're trying to go the other way around.
